The Chroma Comedy Festival will take place May 11-18, 2024 at Curious Comedy Theater in Portland, OR. The mission of this festival is to showcase the top BIPOC improv talent of today and tomorrow. We define BIPOC as Black, Indigenous, and all People of Color. Only you can decide if you identify as a BIPOC person! If you do, then you are invited to apply. Not sure? Why not apply and see how it goes. There is no charge to apply, though we do have an option to donate.

This festival will be curated by Artistic Director Jon Carr with the support of a committee including Curious Comedy staff and a panel of established BIPOC comedy performers and producers.

Accepted out of town acts will have three tiers of support from the festival:

Tier A - Flights, lodging, performance fee, minimum 2 shows, and professional 4k multi-cam video provided.

Tier B - Flights, lodging, minimum 2 shows, and professional 4k multi-cam video provided.

Tier C - Minimum 2 shows and professional 4k multi-cam video provided.

Local acts may receive 1 or 2 shows. Some will be offered a performance fee. All will receive video.
